iNetS addresses the systematic integration of intelligence throughout networks and attached computers, data storage, etc. In pursuit of this objective, the research programs within iNetS are organized as thrusts starting at upper levels of heterogeneous networks and extending downward into specific topics related to specific networks. The six thrust areas and their associated thrust leaders are as follows. | Thrust and Thrust Name | Leader | | 1 | Network/Information Interoperability | S. Tewksbury | | 2 | Engineered Intelligent Networks | Yu-Dong Yao | | 3 | Distributed Cooperative Systems | Hongbin Li | | 4 | Sensor Information Gathering, Understanding, and Communications | Hong Man | | 5 | Network Behavioral Information Mining & Analysis | R. Chandramouli | | 6 | Network/Information Security & Reliability | Manu Malek | A number of faculty members have been associated with the development of and research in iNetS. They include the following. | Participating Faculty | Dept | | | Prof. R.
