RESEARCH INTERESTS: The design and measurement of morphology
in polymeric biomaterials
structured at nano and meso length scales

Matthew Libera leads the Stevens Microstructure Research Group and is Director of the
Electron-Optics Laboratory at Stevens. His research centers on the development,
implementation, and application of advanced electron-optical techniques
to the measurement of microstructure and morphology in engineering materials
at high spatial resolution. He has active research studying polymer morphology
and polymer interfaces using transmission electron holography and spatially
resolved electron energy-loss spectroscopy. His main area of application centers on the
development of morphology in polymer blends and block copolymers for biomaterials
applications.
