Entry Guidelines
New students
Students admitted to the Flex MBA program complete a course of study consisting of 20 courses that comprise a common business core [12 courses] plus chosen major. The course schedule is such that students can begin taking courses in any semester – Fall, Spring and Summer. The courses comprising the various majors are listed in the corresponding study plans and are summarized here by major.
Current MS Students
Students who are currently in a Master’s program in the Howe School of Technology Management, or the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens, and wish to switch to the Flex MBA program can do so at any point provided they meet the MBA admision requirements. Since the credits for courses that comprise the MS degree can be applied to the MBA degree, the number of additional courses that a student needs to take will depend on the number completed at the time of transfer. The courses chosen will also depend on the Master’s concentration and the discipline associated with the desired MBA major. Please consult the entry guidelines for information on how to construct your MBA study plan.
MS Graduates
Applications are also encouraged from MS/ME graduates (alumni) from both the Howe School and School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens. Graduates now have the opportunity to extend their Master’s degree to an MBA in Technology Management. The minimum number of additional courses that you need to take is eight [8] for Howe School graduates, and ten [10] for graduates from the School of Systems and Enterprises. The different requirements reflect the smaller number of credits associated with the MS degree from SSE (30) versus the Howe School (36 credits). All MBA students require 60 credits to graduate.
Please consult the entry guidelines for information on determining the additional courses you need to take and constructing your study plan.
DUAL MS/MBA Degree
Stevens offers a dual degree which enables students from the Howe School and School of Ststems and Enterprises to graduate with BOTH a MS degree and MBA degree
