Introduction

Stevens Institute of Technology International (SITI) is a new Dominican University that offers two graduate programs in the Dominican Republic - a Master of Science in Information Systems and a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Technologies and Project Management - to qualified college graduates.

 

History

SITI was established in September of 2006 by the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology (CONESCYT), and began its first semester of graduate programs at its Santo Domingo campus in September 2007.   SITI will begin its spring semester of graduate programs at its Dominican Republic campus in March 2008.

Course Offerings

SITI's educational programs are rigorous, American-style graduate courses, taught in English.  The programs require 40 credit hours, including the completion of a master's thesis.
These hands-on, practical, state-of-the-art programs in technology and technology management are taught by renowned Stevens faculty members in the Dominican Republic. Their practical focus is designed to provide a valuable investment to participants' careers immediately. Students who complete the program will be prepared to assume leadership positions in the rapidly growing technology sector of the Dominican economy.

Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS)

Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Technologies and Project Management

This program stresses the manufacture, implementation, production, project management, and life-cycle issues of engineering systems, with emphasis on computational methods and software applications. Through specializations in Manufacturing Technologies and Project Management, students will explore problem-solving computational methodologies, modeling, analysis, simulation, and project management.
The program provides an innovative view of the manufacturing technologies and project management landscape to educators and industry practitioners from myriad disciplines, strengthening their manufacturing practices and positioning them for career growth in the global economy.
