Introduction to the Development of Computer-Based Instructional Systems

This course includes the study of the various types of computer-based instructional (CBI) approaches: tutorials, drills, simulations, instructional games, and tests; and the process of producing such materials: preparation, design, storyboarding, programming, and evaluation. It offers instruction in the use of authoring systems with which CBT materials may be readily produced. Assignments include the critique of an existing CBI program and the creation of a short tutorial.
