Management Information Systems
Management's needs for information have greatly increased in importance, quantity, and variety. This course studies the use of computerized information systems to satisfy those needs. Subjects include the types of information systems, the use of the computer to developreports and information in support of the key decision-making responsibilities of management, computer technology from a manager's viewpoint, prioritization of information system needs, and systems development methodology. The student will analyze an organization's information needs and prepare an information systems plan.
