Commercializing Early-Stage Technology & Entrepreneurship

Students learn to perform the function of a technology manager assessing the commercial prospects of early-stage technology. Modules cover various phases of the commercialization process: technology assessment, patentability studies, competitive research, market research, technologypartitioning and investment advice for licensing or spinning out companies. This course is geared primarily for students in the Engineering School, and is also offered as an elective for students in the Howe School.
