Dean's Message

The future of Big Data is a world of connected devices sharing information and creating value in new places along the supply chain, with improved product reliability, greater use and personalized service. Ultimately, executives must consider not only how these changes affect how they conduct business, but in what industry category that operate in.

That’s the direction of the research and education going on in the Howe School. Our robust Business Intelligence & Analytics graduate program teaches students the skills needed to analyze and derive strategy through the mountains of data generated by businesses and their customers, and we have introduced new concentrations in supply chain and marketing analytics that allow for customization to match real-world demands. The curriculum benefits greatly from our world-class Hanlon Lab, which hosts boot camps to help students master programming languages like Hadoop, R and SAS.

We’re excited to continue to leverage our resources and expertise as we help companies understand how to harness Big Data to form actionable strategy.
