Green@Stevens Introduces Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Engineering and Solar Energy CourseStevens Institute of Technology and Green@Stevens are proud to announce the introduction of the Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Engineering and the course MT518 Solar Energy: Theory & Application. The Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Engineering is available to graduate students with an engineering background and to undergraduates with Junior standing. The objectives of this certificate include providing a holistic, systems perspective to the impact of human activity on the environment, including the role of engineering. It will also educate students on the concepts of sustainable development and develop an awareness of the various dimensions that influence sustainability. The new course MT518 Solar Energy: Theory & Application is an in depth treatment of the principles and practice associated with using solar radiation as an alternate energy source. It examines the science of solar radiation, technologies for its capture and the design principles that are used to apply solar energy in building design. Both offerings illustrate the importance that Stevens places on environmental sustainability education and result in exciting opportunities for students. For more information please contact:
