The Ultra Green Arctic Shipping System designed by senior design team: John Dolny, Frank Sorrentino, Caryn Connolly and Chris Ford recently won the International Design Competition sponsored by the US Maritime Administration. The team will be presented with the award in October 2008 in Houston, Texas at the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers annual meeting.

Advised by Stevens Professor Raju Datla and Mr. Michael Morabito, research engineer, their project focused on the following:

• Design an Ultra Green Arctic LNG Transport System
• Transport LNG between Kara & Barents Seas to Northeast US Ports
• Be economically competitive and environmentally friendly.
