Federal regulations require all first-time student loan borrowers to complete an entrance interview. If an interview is not completed, Stevens Institute of Technology cannot credit a Direct Loan to your student account. The entrance interview must be completed online at http://www.dlssonline.com/entrancecounseling/main-entc.asp. At the end of the entrance interview, you will need to take a test in order to successfully complete the interview. We estimate that it will take you approximately fifteen minutes to complete the online interview and test. Once the test has been completed, you must submit your score (you must pass the test in order to submit a score). In order to submit a score a US Department of Education PIN is required. The loans cannot be disbursed unless there is a valid promissory note on file and a completed entrance interview. Failure to complete the promissory note and entrance interview can result in funds not being disbursed in a timely matter.
