About FAST

Objectives

  • To promote an understanding of Filipino culture and establish good relations amongst ourselves and amongst the Stevens Community.
  • To attempt to meet the needs of the Filipino students at Stevens Institute of Technology.
  • To stimulate among the students an awareness of political, economical, and social issues affecting Filipinos.
  • To help students develop sound leadership.
  • To stimulate an awareness and appreciation of the Philippine culture.

FIND: FIlipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue

FAST is a part of FIND - District Three (D3): which includes the area of metropolitan NY, Long Island, and Northern NJ. The purpose of F.I.N.D. shall be to promote unity and cooperation of Filipino students at East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools. ESC: Ethnic Student Council

ESC is the governing organization of all the cultural organizations of Stevens Tech. FAST is one of the 9 member organizations of ESC. We currently have 3 ESC representatives from FAST in addition to our E-board members. The purpose of the ESC is to promote unity among its member organizations and stimulate cultural awareness within the Stevens Community.
