Systems Engineering
By utilizing a formal engineering thought process to analyze, model, and solve inter-disciplinary problems, systems engineers better understand real-world systems and their role in the decision making process. Systems Engineering considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user needs.
Engineering Management
The traditional engineer often lacks preparation in the human, financial, and systems integration skills necessary to make project teams more productive, improve product and process quality, and promote the advancement of high technology for complex systems and work effectively at the interface between engineering and management.

Welcome
Welcome to the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management! By combining courses in systems, engineering, and management, we hope to provide programs with the right mix of technical and management content to prepare engineers and scientists to assume positions of increasing responsibility. Globalization and the information age has produced problems that are complex and interdisciplinary. Our programs were designed by industry to meet these challenges.
