1 The credits per semester are on average low for this dual-degree option. This occurs because several technical electives included in the regular four-year Ch.E. curriculum are covered by courses required for the Chemistry major.

2 Dual-degree students have the equivalent of Stevens' Eng. Design Lab. II as part of Engineering Design Lab. II and of Graphics and Design Lab. at N.Y.U.

3 Physical Chemistry I, V25.0651, satisfies E 234 Thermodynamics & Energy Conversion.

4 Must be completed prior to the 4th year since a pre-requisite for ChE 332.

5 Recommended to be completed prior to the 4th year and ChE 342

6 Consult departmental advisor for a list of recommended electives in Chemical Engineering.

7 "Free" elective; need not be in major or even in a technical area. If all other requirements are satisfied at this point, an advanced Chemistry elective might be taken here to enrich the Chemistry Major. A recommended engineering-oriented elective is ME 551 - Microprocessors.

1 Discrete Mathematics satisfies requirement for Switching Theory (otherwise required in Year 4, Spring).

2 Differential equations may be taken in the summer.

3 Dual-degree students have the equivalent of Eng. Design II included as part of Engineering Design Lab. II and of Graphics and Design Lab.

4 This requirement is satisfied by Discrete Mathematics. Otherwise, CpE 358 must be taken by Computer Science students lacking background in Boolean algebra and logical structures. It is a co-requisite for CpE 390.

5 CS 390, Microprocessors Systems, is not required here as it will normally be satisfied for Computer Science majors at NYU by V22.0201-0202. Only the lab. portion (1 credit) need be taken.

6 Consult current Stevens catalog (400- and 500-level EE courses) and departmental advisor for a list of recommended electives in Electrical Engineering.

7 "Free" elective; need not be in major or even in a technical area.

1 V63.0034 (Track 2: Mathematical Statistics) is a recommended elective to satisfy Stevens' Probability & Statistics (required of all engineering students).

2 Dual-degree students have the equivalent of Eng. Design Lab. II included as part of Engineering Design Lab. II and of Graphics and Design Lab.

3 Algebra I (V63.0043) is an alternative option.

4 Differential equations may be taken in the summer.

5 For this program in Mechanical Engineering, students are required to complete Dynamics, ME 225, prior to the fourth year.

6 Consult current Stevens catalog and departmental advisor for a list of recommended electives in Mechanical Engineering. Specific electives may be given in specific semesters and, depending on which are selected, require adjustment of this template by shifting electives or other courses from the semesters shown.

7 "Free" elective; need not be in major or even in a technical area.
