The 31st annual Northeast Bioengineering conference will be held at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ on April 2-3, 2005.
The theme for this year’s plenary session will be Spinal Cord Injury and Repair. We have tentatively lined up several outstanding speakers who will present an overview of the subject, research at the cell and molecular biology level and clinical research on emerging regenerative and prosthetic therapies.
In addition to the plenary session on spinal cord injury, the conference will include contributed talks in all areas of Biomedical Engineering, poster sessions, a career fair and a dinner cruise in New York Harbor on the Spirit of New Jersey.
Contributed talks and posters are welcome from undergraduate research and design, graduate research, and industrial R & D projects in all areas of Biomedical Engineering. The call for papers and paper submission forms are available through links on this page. All contributions must be submitted electronically.
A student paper competition will be held and prizes awarded for excellence in presentation in the categories of undergraduate and graduate student talks and posters. See the link on this page for application forms.
A limited number of partial travel grants will be awarded to encourage student participation. See link on this page for application forms.
The Stevens campus, located on Castle Point on the Hudson River has a magnificent view of the New York skyline. The City of Hoboken is a compact municipality that boasts many fine restaurants and shops. It is readily accessible by public transportation.
In recent years this conference has grown substantially and promises to be a great opportunity for professional development, networking, and exploring the world of biomedical engineering
We hope to see you on April 2-3. |
