The brothers of the Rho Chapter of Delta Tau Delta have always prided themselves on excellence within the community, university, and throughout our daily lives. Through the past year and a half, the chapter has been tested time and time again. We have struggled through an overdue renovation which deprived us of our common shelter. This led to a slight lapse in unity, brotherhood, and centralization as the brothers went through a period of apathy and a lack of direction. Thanks to the dedication and persistence of the brothers, we were able to stay on task and preserve our values. We recently were successful in rushing a strong pledge class of 19 men despite the fact that we were not able to showcase one of our biggest selling points; the shelter. I am proud to announce that our house and shelter was finally reopened on January 20, 2007. With the reopening of the house, we are ushering in a new era for the chapter. As we move forward, we will strive reestablish our ideals, strengthen camaraderie, and further learn how to live lives of excellence. I look forward to a very strong pledge class and future recruitment of quality men into our organization. In light of our recent adversaries, our ability to thrive and succeed is proof that we are, in fact, the leaders of the fraternal community at Stevens Institute of Technology.
