

On November 4th, 1982; six women joined together to form a new sorority on the Stevens campus. Choosing the Greek designation "Gamma Delta" and the colors Black and Pink, the group became the second sorority presence on campus. In 1984, Delta Phi Epsilon took the group on as a petitioning colony. One year later, the Gamma Delta's, now 20 members strong, achieved chapter status and were chartered the Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority on April 21, 1985.
