1870 Society

The 1870 Society is part of a new found tradition started by students that invites current undergraduate students to actively invest in the future of Stevens Institute of Technology by contributing $18.70 for opportunities and initiatives that enrich the University.  1870 Society donors are full partners in creating a bright future for Stevens.

The 1870 Society Helps Provide:
  • Institutional upgrades that foster changes for undergraduate students, by undergraduate students 
  • A medium for undergraduates to place their input on changes and/or upgrades they want to see on campus

The major difference between undergraduate student experiences between Universities is the dedication and enthusiasm of the student body. Stevens’ continued academic excellence and innovation requires persistent enthusiasm, a hallmark of most undergrads 1870 Society members should consider their annual gifts to be votes of confidence in the University and its future. Annual gifts made by students will go to work immediately, helping improve aspects of Stevens most important to undergraduates.
