Dr. Agam Sinha is a Senior Vice President of The MITRE Corporation, and General Manager of the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD). He also directs the Federal Aviation Administration’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). CAASD supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and international civil aviation authorities in addressing operational and technical challenges to meet aviation’s capacity, efficiency, safety and security needs.
Dr. Sinha has over 35 years of experience in aviation. He is an elected member of the RTCA Board of Directors, RTCA Policy Board, Air Traffic Management Advisory Committee, and the Air Traffic Management Steering Group. He is an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). From 2001-2006, he was chairman of the aviation group of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies. He has over 80 publications and has been an invited presenter to a wide range of organizations nationally and internationally. He holds a Ph.D. (1974) in Operations Research, and an M.S. (1970) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. degree in Management of Technology from The American University, Washington, DC (1985) and a Bachelor’s degree (1968) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
