Welcome to the

Analytical Capabilities f
or Business Improvement Course on Stevens Web Campus

Con Edison has partnered with Stevens Institute of Technology to offer a new online learning course titled "Analytical Capabilities for Business Improvement." This course, focused on a structured method for decision making and business improvement, will consist of online learning, three one hour online classes, and a team project. The course is being presented by Stevens Institute of Technology through their Web Campus, and was developed in conjunction with Con Edison. The course will start with an orientation week and run for nine weeks.

  Program Information

The training course's eight modules will include background information on process and quality, the DMAIC framework, process mapping, and analytical tools necessary for prioritizing projects and making decisions. This online asynchronous training course was customized to provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to conduct the analysis needed for structured decision-making. Through the eight modules, exercises, and discussions, training course participants will have the unique opportunity to utilize the tools and learning from the course in developing and implementing an opportunity for process improvement at Con Edison. By participating in the eight week team project, participants will complete the first three stages of DMAIC (Define, Measure and Analyze) during the course and discuss the methodology and use of tools for the last two stages (Improve and Control).

  Program Location
The virtual classroom offers some unique benefits, such as ability to participate in the program from anywhere around the globe, and the flexibility to study at your own convenience. The program will be given online through Stevens WebCampus program. The course will be conducted through WebCt and Interwise real time conference software. The WebCT software will allow you to access and post to weekly discussion boards, participate in weekly assignments, and the final team project. Participating in the Interwise webconferences allows you to hear lectures, present team projects and have real-time instructor dialogue during the course sessions.
