Master of
Engineering in Systems Engineering
Stevens offers a 10-course Master of Engineering
degree in
Systems
Engineering with a concentration in Systems
Engineering which includes the four Graduate
Certificate courses. Each course is 3.0
credits for a total of 30 credits. Students who currently hold a master's
degree in engineering or related discipline are also
encouraged to investigate pursuing a Doctor of
Philosophy degree in Systems Engineering or
Engineering Management.
Systems Engineering Core Courses (and Graduate Certificate) :
- SYS 605 Systems Architecture & Design
- SYS 612 Project Management of Complex Systems
- SYS 625 Systems Operational Effectiveness and Life Cycle Analysis
- SYS 650 System Architecture and Design
- SYS 800 Special Problems in Systems Engineering
Five additional courses are needed for the M.Eng. in
Systems Engineering with a concentration in Systems
Engineering. Of these six, two must be Systems
Engineering, Integrated Product Development, or
Engineering Management courses.
The remaining four courses should be negotiated with
your advisor to meet your professional development
needs. Concentrations in project management,
technology management, computer science, wireless
communications, or four additional courses in
Systems Engineering are some of the viable options.
Many of these concentrations can be taken on-line
via Stevens WebCampus.
