Stevens Pharmaceutical Graduate Program at Schering-Plough
Courses held in Kenilworth and Summit
Stevens is proud to offer three graduate degree
programs on-site at Schering Plough in
Kenilworth and Summit. Stevens faculty travel to
you, both in person and via videoconferencing,
to bring the same high-level education you
expect from Stevens. Program include
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Management, and Information Technology with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Management.
Classes are open to
Schering-Plough employees who have been nominated
by their directors to attend, and who hold a
bachelor's degree. All students must apply for admission to Stevens and be accepted into
the program. Classes meet once a week for 14 weeks.

Focus on manufacturing and facilities, keeping in mind the industry’s regulatory requirements. Learn about U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Quality Systems Regulations (QSR). This program is targeted broadly at professionals across the whole of the pharmaceutical industry whose jobs require that they manage functions that use technology extensively. This encompasses most of the functional areas in today’s pharmaceutical companies and includes areas such as discovery research, clinical research and operations, regulatory affairs (especially those areas involved in the compilation and publication of submissions), market research and QA. Individuals in contract research organizations (CROs), contract laboratories, consulting firms and other businesses that supply services to the pharmaceutical industry will also find the program of interest.

IT for Pharmaceutical Industry

Graduate Certificate Focused on
Understanding the Pharmaceutical
Industry Value Chain. A
unique program for the IT professional
in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Each of
the pharmaceutical courses is organized
around the Pharmaceutical value chain.
Students learn the "theory of the
business" and the role of IT in the
business. Organizational, management and
information technology issues and
considerations related to the
Pharmaceutical Industry are explored.
MSIS Pharma
- Master's in Information Systems
with Focus in the Pharmaceutical
Industry. An
interdisciplinary combination of twelve
courses including the IT for
Pharmaceutical Industry set of courses,
usually taken over a two year period. It
is designed to provide participants with
the requisite management, business,
technical, and strategic skills needed
to help their organization prepare and
enhance their e-strategy and plans.
MSIS -
Master's in Information Systems in
Related Disciplines.
An
interdisciplinary combination of twelve
courses including the Information
Management or other career tracks,
usually taken over a two year period. It
is designed to provide participants with
the requisite management, business,
technical, and strategic skills needed
to help their organization prepare and
enhance their e-strategy and plans.

- Application for admission online. All employed students must complete the work
address section. (Application and enrollment fees
are waived for Schering-Plough employees taking classes

Courses are held at Schering-Plough locations in Kenilworth and Summit,
NJ. These are"closed sites", which means
that the graduate programs are open ONLY to Schering-Plough
employees.
