The Stevens Concert Band

Membership and Conductor

The membership of the Stevens Concert Band includes undergraduate and graduate students and sometimes faculty and staff. To join, please come to the first rehearsal on Sunday, September 9 at 6pm to audition for Jerry Ficeto, Band Director. For more information on the band or auditions, please contact Jerry Ficeto.

Gerald (Jerry) Ficeto - Director/Conductor
Jerry earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Montclair State University in Music Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Music Education with a concentration in conducting from New Jersey City University, where he studied with the renowned Broadway conductor and percussionist, Nicholas Cerrato. Jerry has performed as either percussionist and/or conductor in over 100 stage musicals. He has performed throughout the tri-state area with numerous big bands, jazz groups and several area orchestras (including the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra) in such venues as Lincoln Center, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark Symphony Hall and PNC Arts Center. He continues to arrange, conduct, and produce musical projects for film, theater and commercials, as well as teach music in the Kearny Public Schools.
