Center for Healthcare Innovation
This site serves as a portal for all educational programs and research activities in medical technology and healthcare delivery across the Stevens Institute of Technology.
The university-wide Center for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) supports faculty and student-initiated multidisciplinary research that addresses gaps and issues related to advancing biomedical technology and healthcare delivery and serves as a focal point for integration of external strategic partnerships.
Additional activities of the CHI involve development of new educational programs, coordination of multi-investigator grant and contract proposals and commercialization of intellectual property.
Major areas of research include tissue engineering of cancer biopsies for drug assessment and therapy selection, biomaterials that promote cell growth and control infection in implanted prosthetic and medical devices, drug discovery and development initiatives, mobile healthcare and telemedicine applications, and data analytics and modeling of healthcare delivery systems.
