Reimagine Math Education with Us

Mathematics ranks among the most fundamental, fascinating, and vital areas of human inquiry. It is also one of the most challenging subjects to teach, and during the pandemic, it is more important than ever to provide math education that is innovative, engaging, and effective.

An initiative of NJIT’s New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) and Castle Point Learning Systems (CPLS), the fourth annual Reimagining Math Education conference is bringing together leading experts to help instructors teach math more effectively in the era of Covid-19, and to reimagine what math education at both the high school and college level can be.

Audience and Goals

Whether at the high school, community college, or university level, all math and STEM educators interested in improving the way they or their institutions teach mathematics are invited. Attend the conference to:

  • Learn practical, evidence-based methods that will improve your teaching

  • Gain exposure to new ideas and directions in math education

  • Discover the latest and most effective educational technologies

  • Interact with leading experts in math pedagogy

  • And much more!

History

After making sweeping changes to the way it teaches calculus, the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Stevens hosted highly successful conferences on Reimagining Calculus Education in 2016 and 2017. This year, we’re broadening our horizons to include all math education at the high school and college level.
