A talk by Bernard Heinrich. The journalist Bill McKibben has called Bernard Heinrich "not just a great naturalist writer; he's a great writer, period." A professor emeritus of biology at the University of Vermond, Heinrich is the author of 16 books about bees, wasps, owls, beavers, antelopes, humans and other animals. In Ravens in Winter and Mind of a Raven, Heinrich provides vivid portraits of one of the most ntelligent of all animals, the raven, or "wolf bird," which he has studied for two decades. In this talk, Heinrich will explore the complex interplay of competition and cooperation underlying ravens' behavior.
