Executive Vice President (retired), AT&T Business Solutions Customer Service
Mr. Peters serves on the board of directors for Calix Inc., a California-based provider of communications access software, systems and services. He was named to the position in October 2014.
Before his appointment to Calix, Mr. Peters spent 28 years with AT&T, at which he held numerous leadership positions, including executive vice president of global business customer service, in which he led AT&T’s multinational customer service operations; and AT&T Business Solutions’ chief marketing officer, responsible for developing, launching, and promoting leading-edge network, information technology and collaboration solutions to business customers.
Among Mr. Peters’ accomplishments at AT&T were breakthrough initiatives such as “One AT&T” and operational mergers, along with the implementation of strategic changes toward improving speed, flexibility and innovation. Concurrently, he served as Executive Vice President of Global Network Operations, and ensured world-class health and maintenance of AT&T’s worldwide network. He began his career at AT&T Corp. in 1986 in Information Technology, and has held numerous positions in technology, sales, strategy, and network operations and engineering.
Mr. Peters received his B.S. from Fairfield University, his M.S. in Information and Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1989 and an M.B.A. from Columbia University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
