The Black Student Union @ Stevens Institute of Technology is a student run, non-profit organization based at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. The Black Student Union strives to provide cultural awareness and a pride in black society by organizing a number of events. Our goals are:

1. To meet the needs of our membership at Stevens, as determined by the executive board.

2. To help promote understanding and good relations among ourselves and the Stevens community.

3. To stimulate among students an awareness of political, economical, and social forces affecting black people.

4. To help students develop sound leadership skills.

5. To stimulate an awareness, appreciation, and development of the black cultural heritage.

6. Expanding the boarders of the current BSU beyond Stevens, inspiring a union of student unions country wide if not world wide.
