  1. How much does it cost to bowl here?

  2. Where is the bowling alley located?
The bowling alley is in the basement of the Wesley J. Howe Center.  Exit the elevator and go up the hallway (or go down the steps near the student service center).  The entrance to the bowling alley is on the left side of the hallway.
  3. How can I get a locker at the bowling alley?
To be placed on the waiting list for a locker, please email arella@stevens.edu.  Lockers are not always available at all times.
  4. How do I get information about the bowling club or the bowling tournaments?
The bowling alley is not affiliated with the bowling club.  Please use the "Bowling Club's Site" link to the left to view their page and contact information.  The bowling tournaments are bowling alley sponsored.  More information can be found by clicking "Bowling Alley Tournaments" to the left.
  5. How are the lanes oiled and how often are they done?
The lanes are oiled every day.  The machine will buff to 40 feet past the foul line and oil to 25 feet past the foul line.  Please see the "Behind the Scenes" page by clicking the link to the left for more information about what is involved in doing the lanes.
  6. What was changed when the bowling alley was renovated in the summer of 2002?
The scoring system was replaced with the new Steltronic scoring system.  New gutters and capping were also installed as well as an upgraded sound system.  You can find out more about the renovations by clicking on the "Renovations Information" link to the left.
  7. Can I work at the bowling alley?
The bowling alley hires new work study students each semester.  Please go to the "Become an Employee" link to the left for more information.  The bowling alley does not have any non-work study positions available.
  8. Can I reserve the lanes for my group or department?
Yes, you can reserve the lanes for up to two hours at a time, and up to twice a month for your Stevens-affiliated group, club, organization, or department.  Please click on the "Make a Reservation" link to the left for more information.  It is free to make a reservation, but your organization’s account will be charged a fee of up to $50 for either not showing up during the time the alley was reserved for.  Also, a relative fee will be charged if the bowling alley is left damaged or unclean.
  9. How can I advertise on the bowling alley's overhead monitors?
You can send us an image of what you want displayed on the monitors by uploading your file using the "Submit an Advertisement" link to the left.
