Stevens Chapter Membership: Local chapter membership requires the payment of a $10.00 annual due. These dues are added to the Chapter account to assist in the funding of events taking place throughout the term. To join or to find out more about joining the chapter please send an e-mail to our chapter president, Jenifer Mcguire, or our chapter advisor, Ronald Besser.
National AIChE Membership: It is recommended that one attains membership in AIChE national as well.
Benefits of a national membership include elegibility of scholarchips, availability of interactive tools in the AIChE library, networking, etc. Membership is FREE to undergraduates! You can find an application at http://www.aiche.org/Students/Join/index.aspx. With this membership students also gain access to the online journal. This is a great source for technical and career information. In this journal there are sections on Institute News, Technical Articles, Student news and book reviews. Being a student member also allows students to meet other chemical engineering students and professionals from around the country by allowing these students access to various AIChE conferences that take place throughout the year. i.e. Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference
With membership, students receive access to the AIChE's sections on: Internships: An up to date list of national internship opportunities Student Mentoring Program: Student members can select a mentor either geographically or by specialty. Online Membership Directory: This directory gives students access to over 4,000 AIChE members nationwide. This list is searchable by job title, company, or specialty. Student Research: This section contains abstracts from the winning research papers at the Regional Student Conferences (including author's contact information). New Technology Forum: This section contains abstracts from the "Frontiers in Chemical Engineering" sessions held during the annual student conference.
